check power, paper and the display for an error. check that your computer and printer are on the intended network. restart the printer, then try a test page. avoid repeatedly reinstalling drivers or deleting settings before noting the model and any error message.
check whether other devices have the same problem. move closer to the router and test again. check cables before restarting equipment, and let others know before interrupting their connection. don’t factory-reset the router: this can erase settings needed to get online.
don’t use the message’s link or phone number to verify it. contact the organisation through a route you already trust. unexpected urgency, payment requests and requests for passwords deserve a pause. if you already shared information, use our scam-help page.
